PASTORAL CARE
“Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matt 5:4
The Pastoral Care ministry integrates sickness and death into the life of the parish and the local community. We minister to parishioners and their families in times of sickness and death. If you have a compassionate nature and a few hours to give when there is a death or illness in our parish call 407-876-0833.
Volunteers are needed for:
Ministry to the Sick
Ministers of Holy Communion especially trained to minister to the homebound in the parish.
Funeral Preparation
Assists families with the preparation of the funeral.
Funeral Liturgy
The funeral liturgies follow the norm of the Order of Christian Funerals: Vigil, Mass, burial. They are done in light of good liturgical sensibilities, both beautiful and meaningful even to those unchurched or of another faith. Volunteers are needed to assist with the funeral liturgy.
Grief support
Support groups help the grieving people reflect on the dying, death and funeral of their loved ones. If you are an experienced grief counselor with a few hours to give to fellow parishioners please call us now.
Neighborhood Apostolate
Dedicated to serving members in unexpected and sometimes traumatic situations. Provides hospitality to families during a funeral.
